RESEARCH TEAM

The SAMSERAP research group (Mental Health, Services and Primary Care), was founded in 2003 and is composed of a multidisciplinary team of family doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, epidemiologists and statisticians.

Our main line of research is the prediction and prevention of frequent mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety and/or hazardous or harmful alcohol drinking.

Our team has carried out research projects funded by international research agencies (European Framework Programs, Medical Research Council, etc.) and Spanish agencies (ISCIII, MINECO, Ministry of Health of the Junta de Andalucía, etc.) and belongs to the Research Network on Preventive Activities and Health Promotion (redIAPP) and the Biomedical Research Institute of Malaga (IBIMA).
