Predict A
  • People at risk: 3.454
  • Algorithm includes: 8 Risk Factors and three interactions
  • Place: 6 Spanish provinces

The predictA risk algorithm predicts the occurrence of anxiety (generalized anxiety, panic attacks and nonspecific anxiety syndrome) in the next year. The validation study was conducted in six Spanish provinces in six different communities, and 3,564 primary care consultants who did not suffer from anxiety at baseline were included.

Thirty-nine different risk factors related to the onset of anxiety were studied. For the predictA risk algorithm, eight of these risk factors and three interactions were selected that together predict the incidence of new cases of anxiety with good validity - AUROC: 0.80 - and good calibration2.
